About the Role
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
Key Tasks
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, presentation, and food preparation checklists
- Prepare food in accordance with cold food standards
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- Test foods and monitor food quality throughout preparation processes
- Set-up and clean workstation, utilising tools such as tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area and tools
- Ensure appropriate appliance and food temperature compliance
- Serve food in proper portions onto correct receptacles
- Maintain adherence to quality expectations and standards
Responsibilities Under Additional Conditions
- Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to supervising staff
- Ensure professional and clean uniform standards while within the workplace environment
- Safeguard proprietary information and protect company assets
- Foster positive and professional interactions, utilizing clear and respectful language
- Develop supportive relationships within the team
- Actively listen and respond professionally to concerns from colleagues

Physical & Work Requirements
- Continually engage in standing, sitting, or walking throughout entire shifts
- Required to perform movements such as reaching overhead, below knees, bending, twisting, pulling, or stooping
- Manually manipulate elevated or low-weight objects, up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Follow and execute further tasks as directed by supervisory personnel
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year of relevant industry or questioned experience
Certification/Licensing
- No specific license or certification prerequisite
