Commis Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Commiss Chef to join Harrods’ passionate and high-performing dining team within our iconic Knightsbridge store. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a globally recognised luxury brand, supporting the delivery of exceptional dining experiences where craftsmanship, consistency and attention to detail are evident in every dish.

About the Role

As the Commis Chef in our restaurants, you’ll be at the heart of the action, preparing and organising ingredients, and keeping the kitchen clean. Reporting into the Chef de Partie, you’ll be a key member of the team, whose role is integral to the smooth operation and delivery of the Kitchen operations.

You’ll be responsible for the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food stored ensuring that all administration for own section is completed and complies with the deadlines set. In this role, you’ll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets.

About You

Having knowledge and passion for food and drink is essential, with some time spent within a 5* hotel or high-end restaurant environment. In return you'll be given all the training and support you'll need to develop your kitchen career at Harrods. You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels.

  • Competitive salary package of up to £15 p/h (this is made up of a generous base salary plus service charge)*
