We’re searching for an experienced, passionate and well-rounded Commis Chef to join our team at Linden House, Lymington, Hampshire.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef to prepare a variety of home-cooked meals, including a selection of fresh cakes from local produce
- Provide nutritionally balanced meals across all mealtimes
- Work closely with staff to support catering for dietary needs and special events
- Provide team support, including assisting with the training and development of new starters and covering the Kitchen Assistant when required
- Ensure a safe, hygienic working environment by adhering to Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations

In our professional kitchen, you’ll collaborate with the Head Chef and team to craft comforting, home-style meals reflecting local produce. Following guidance while developing your skills, maintaining high standards, and making a difference for residents.
About You
- A genuine passion for creating an exceptional resident dining experience
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude with a can-do spirit
- Pride in understanding residents' needs and supporting their journey
- Desire to build lasting relationships with residents
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds 706/1 hospital catering (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) in Catering/Cookery is desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role required
