Job Description – Commis Chef

Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Commis Chef, you’re not just preparing great-tasting food items—you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make every guest’s stay special.
Responsibilities
Here’s what a typical day would look like:
- Prepare high-quality dishes: Follow designated recipes and maintain quality standards
- Delight our guests: Manage orders efficiently with a focus on positive dining experiences
- Execute complex recipes: Stay knowledgeable about menu offerings, oversee stations, ensure quality control, handle inventory checks, and refine techniques
- Inspect and finalize plates: Conduct thorough reviews to ensure dishes meet presentation standards and quality criteria
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep stations stocked and sanitary while adhering to strict food safety and storage protocols
- Manage inventory needs: Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items
- Comply with regulatory standards: Maintain health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness compliance (where applicable)
