Commis Chef (Part Time)
Location: Colchester Road, Tolleshunt Knights, Maldon, Essex, CM9 8HX
Hours: Part-time, approx. 2 days per week
We are currently looking for 2 people - ideal shifts below:
- 2 days per week (flexible with which days - approx. 18 hours per week)

About the Commis Chef Role
- Assisting with food preparation, including salads, vegetables, starters, main courses, and bakery section
- Working safely by following HACCP and Food Hygiene regulations
- Completing temperature checks
- Assisting with stock rotation
- A keen eye for detail
- Good time management
- A commitment to reducing waste in the kitchen by adhering to menu and portion sizes
Experience in a commis chef role is not necessary, as full training will be given.
You will take personal pride in:
- Working as a team to deliver fresh, delicious, and quality food to our guests
- Ensuring that the kitchen environment is kept clean and hygiene at all times
- Using attention to detail to ensure that every dish meets our exceptional standards
- Having the necessary knowledge to cater to dietary and allergy requirements
- Promoting teamwork by establishing strong working relationships with those around you, by treating your colleagues with respect
- Ensuring that you attend training sessions and keep your knowledge of our menus and regulations up to date
Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, working approximately 2 days per week. We are ideally looking for someone who can offer flexibility in the days and hours they work to help meet the needs of the business. However, for the right candidate, we can potentially accommodate regular set days each week if preferred.

£13.50 per hour

Qualifications
No formal qualifications are needed although experience of working in a kitchen would be advantageous. We'll provide all the training you need to excel in your role if you have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and are passionate about food!
