We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pastry Commis Chef to join our kitchen brigade. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their pastry career who is eager to develop technical skills in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pastry Chef and senior team members in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods.
- Carry out daily mise en place to a consistently high standard.
- Support service periods by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of pastry items.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards in line with HACCP requirements.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and basic inventory tasks.
- Learn and adhere to company recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or pastry section preferred, but not essential.
- Formal culinary or pastry training is an advantage.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A positive attitude and team-focused mindset.

£14.33 per hour (£29,806.40 per annum) plus, paid overtime and great IHG perks including:
