Join the Kitchen Team at the UK's Number One Fully Inclusive Resort

Do you have a passion for food and want to build a career in a professional, fast-paced kitchen? Whether you're looking to begin your chef journey or develop your existing skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from an experienced team in an award-winning resort.

As a Commis Chef, you'll work alongside our talented kitchen brigade to prepare and deliver high-quality dishes for our guests, whilst developing your skills across a variety of kitchen sections.

About the Role

Working as part of a supportive and professional team, you'll assist in preparing fresh, high-quality food for our restaurants. This is a busy, hands-on role where no two days are the same, and you'll receive full training to help you develop your culinary skills.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing ingredients and assisting with the production of salads, vegetables, starters, main courses and bakery items.
  • Working across different kitchen sections as required.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
  • Following HACCP procedures, food safety regulations and completing temperature checks.
  • Assisting with stock rotation, storage and reducing food waste through correct portion control.
  • Ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to our high standards.
  • Supporting the team during busy service periods to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Learning about dietary requirements, allergens and food preparation techniques.
  • Attending training sessions and continually developing your culinary knowledge and skills.

You will take personal pride in:

  • Ensuring that the kitchen environment is kept clean and hygiene at all times
  • Using attention to detail to ensure that every dish meets our exceptional standards
  • Having the necessary knowledge to cater to dietary and allergy requirements
  • Promoting teamwork by establishing strong working relationships with those around you, by treating your colleagues with respect
  • Ensuring that you attend training sessions and keep your knowledge of our menus and regulations up to date

We Offer

£13.50 per hour

Hours of Work

This is a full-time, permanent position working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.

Rotating shifts:

  • 6:00am – 3:00pm
  • 12:00pm – 9:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 11:00pm

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality food.
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
  • A commitment to maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Previous kitchen or Commis Chef experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
