As a Commis Chef (Staff Restaurant), you will support the culinary team in delivering high-quality, nutritious and well-balanced meals for our associates. Working alongside senior chefs, you will assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of staff meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and organisation. This role is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef looking to develop their skills within a luxury hospitality environment while contributing to the wellbeing and engagement of our associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals for the Staff Restaurant.
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place in line with menu requirements and operational needs.
- Ensure food is prepared and served to the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Support senior chefs with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and inventory control.
- Help minimise food waste through effective preparation and storage practices.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Report any maintenance issues, equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
