The Role
Commis Chef – Our award-winning kitchen seeks a passionate and committed individual to join our team.
Working as part of the Kitchen Team, this role requires:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness
The Commis Chef plays a vital role in assisting the Chef de Partie and supporting daily kitchen operations to ensure our guests receive a positive and excellent dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily kitchen operations
- Preparing vegetables, meats, and fish
- Supporting the ordering process and ensuring sufficient stock levels
- Guaranteeing all food served meets required standards
- Ensuring strict compliance with food hygiene regulations
- Promoting a high hygiene standard via cleaning schedules
- Maintaining daily food and temperature logs
- Assisting with monthly menu design using fresh ingredients

Requirements
Essentials
- Previous hospitality or culinary experience
- Level 2 Food Safety certificate
- Strong food hygiene and quality standards knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
Desirables
- Experience with large volume food servings
- Interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Information
Hours & Terms
- 45 hours per week
- Rotational schedule (5 days of the week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)
- Flexible working—adaptable to business needs, including last-minute adjustments
Salary
£30,049.66
