Job Title: Commis Chef / Chef de Partie
Hours: 5 days (Wednesday to Sunday)
Location: The Jockey Inn, Pershore Road, Baughton, Earl’s Croome, WR8 9DQ
Salary: £24,420 per annum
Job description: We’re looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at The Jockey Inn, a welcoming countryside pub serving quality, seasonal food in a relaxed setting.
This is a great opportunity for someone at the early stages of their chef career who is passionate about food, keen to learn and eager to develop their skills in a supportive, professional kitchen.
The Role
- Assisting senior chefs with the preparation and cooking of fresh, homemade dishes
- Preparing ingredients to a high standard ahead of service
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient workstation
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Helping with stock rotation and basic kitchen organisation

What We’re Looking For
- Some previous experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment
- A genuine interest in food and a willingness to learn and develop
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
- Calm under pressure
- Someone is not afraid to ask questions
