Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for the culinary arts, as you will be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area.

Duties

  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to our guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.
  • Help with meal preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Support waitstaff by providing assistance during busy periods, including clearing tables.
  • Ensure that all food items are served at the correct temperature and in accordance with restaurant standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance guest experiences and address any concerns promptly.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with culinary terms and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of food safety practices is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with both guests and kitchen staff effectively.
