# **Job Title: Commissioning and Contract Officer (Provider Support Team)**

## **About the Role**
As part of the **Provider Support Team**, this **critical role** sits at the heart of Suffolk County Council’s commitment to shaping and strengthening Suffolk’s care market. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, partners, and communities to build **trust, share ideas**, and deliver **services that create lasting impact**. Join us to **reimagine possibilities** in care.
### **Key Responsibilities**
- **Workshop Development & Delivery –**
- Design and deliver high-impact training workshops, including:
- **Dementia awareness**
- **Ageing simulation (suit) training**
- **Record-keeping best practices**
- **Safeguarding training**
- **Empower care providers** to deliver exceptional care tailored to service users’ needs.
- **Sector Development –**
- Work closely with **Contract Officers** to identify and exploit **growth opportunities** within the market.
- Attend **seminars and coproduction events** to benchmark **best practices** and industry trends.
- Support the **development and adaptation** of workshops when **skills gaps** are identified.
- **Feedback & Learning –**
- Provide **structured feedback** to Contract Officers, including **learning reviews**.
- Act as a **trusted advisor** to providers on **policy changes, standards, or compliance updates**.
- **Key Skills & Behaviours –**
- Excellent **organisation, time management**, and **communication** skills.
- Strong **relationship-building** capabilities to foster professional ties with providers.
