Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Commissioning Engineer. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and validating fire and security systems to ensure they operate in line with design specifications and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Performing electrical testing
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults
- Calibrating equipment
- Documenting test results
- Preparing commissioning reports

The role also involves:
- Collaborating with installation teams
- Providing technical guidance to clients
- Supporting remote diagnostics and system adjustments
The engineer is expected to:
- Manage their workload independently
- Maintain accurate records
- Uphold health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Skills in Electrical Testing and Testing of fire and security systems
- Skills relevant to Commissioning Engineers, including system setup and configuration
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Electrical Engineering knowledge, preferably with experience in low-voltage life safety and security systems
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical or electronic engineering (e.g., NVQ, HNC, or equivalent)
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations for fire alarms, security systems, and related safety codes
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required
