What Are We Looking For?
Due to continued growth, RSE is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, assisting in the delivery of our projects across the UK. You will undertake Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical works, including:
- Installation, testing, commissioning, and fault finding within new and existing MCCs (Motor Control Centres), industrial instrumentation, analysers, motors, actuators, and all equipment used in automated control systems associated with RSE products and in the Water industry.
This position will require flexibility in working location, with accommodation provided by RSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a flexible approach to resourcing all commissioning requirements for diverse projects.
- Support the project team by:
- Developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files, methodologies, programmes, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Monitor standards to ensure specification compliance and quality standards.
- Attend FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities and provide constructive input regarding system controls.
- Commission LV (Low Voltage) Electrical systems, Instrumentation, and Control Systems, including:
- MCCs and associated field equipment.
- Equipment such as **VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), Softstarters, Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature instrumentation, and iMCCs (Intelligent Motor Control Centres).
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, line diagrams, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Complete SAT (Site Acceptance Test) and asset start-up.
- Complete commissioning documentation.
- Participate in HAZCOMM (Hazard Communication) activities for multiple projects as required.

Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent qualification.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in Instrumentation & Electrical, with full commissioning-phase expertise (installation, dry testing, wet testing, process testing).
- Familiarity with the IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
- Previous experience in SAP (Site Areas Planning) or AP (Area Protection) roles and proficiency in PTW (Permit to Work) systems.
- Experience with iMCCs, including VSDs, Softstarters, and Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature instrumentation.
- Experience in FAT, SAT testing, and fault finding.
- Full fledge telemetry end-to-end testing.
- Profibus (communication protocol) installation and commissioning certification.
- Certifications/IC Licences:
- Full UK driving licence.
