Commissioning Engineer

Location: Glasgow
Contract: Outside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery and integration of complex network projects.

The successful candidate will provide technical support across design, build and deployment activities, including reviewing implementation plans, producing configuration scripts and supporting scheduled network changes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review network designs, topology and circuitry
  • Produce configuration scripts for a range of network devices
  • Support project delivery, commissioning and integration activities
  • Monitor networks before, during and after scheduled changes
  • Complete risk assessments and maintain network records
  • Provide technical support to Project Engineers

Essential experience:

  • Strong Cisco routing and switching knowledge
  • Experience designing and supporting LAN and WAN solutions
  • Good knowledge of Cisco IOS
  • Experience working with SDH and PDH technologies
  • Familiarity with fibre, copper, leased lines, radio and 4G
  • CCNA or CCDA certification

CCNP or CCDP certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
