About the Company

GerTEK is an engineering consultancy company specialising in project management, talent solutions and commissioning qualification and validation services. We partner with many of the world’s largest life science & technology companies who entrust in us to deliver their most strategic and important projects.

About the Role

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the centralized management, witnessing, and verification of equipment during the early stages of the commissioning process. This role ensures that all productized assemblies are standardized, performance-verified, and compliant with technical requirements and governing regulations before they are shipped to their final destinations.

Responsibilities

  • Management: Provide oversight and witnessing during factory testing (Level 1) and integration phases (i2, i3).
  • Quality Verification: Ensure that no critical or high-priority issues remain unresolved before equipment leaves the factory or integrator.
  • Technical Sign-off: Execute and obtain sign-offs for commissioning checklists and tags (Red and Orange tags) within the project’s digital management system.
  • Coordination & Safety: Lead daily technical coordination and safety meetings at vendor facilities to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Data Continuity: Manage the transfer of critical documentation, such as "as-left" settings and O&M manuals, to the site-based commissioning teams.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate commissioning reports for batches of assets, documenting quality data, challenges, and any deferred inspections.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
