A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commissioning Manager within our HVDC business, you will play a critical role in bringing some of the world's most advanced energy infrastructure projects to life. Working with multinational teams across engineering, project management, and site operations, you will lead commissioning activities from factory testing through to on-site execution.
You'll be responsible for ensuring HVDC control, protection, and high-voltage systems are safely commissioned, fully compliant, and ready for operation. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to work on large-scale international projects that directly support the global energy transition.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Lead the safe, reliable, and efficient commissioning of HVDC projects from factory testing through to site execution.
- Coordinate and develop international commissioning teams, ensuring strong collaboration and high performance throughout project delivery.
- Oversee Factory System Tests (FST) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ensuring systems meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
- Drive effective communication and coordination between project stakeholders to enable successful site execution.
- Support project management activities including risk management, quality assurance, claims management, and non-conformance resolution.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout all commissioning activities.
What You Bring
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience commissioning large-scale power generation, transmission, HVDC, or energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coordinating multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Good understanding of project management principles, risk management, and project delivery.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including extended site assignments where required.

Our Grid Technology team enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid. The power grid is the backbone of the energy transition. Siemens Energy offers a leading portfolio and solutions in HVDC transmission, grid stabilization and storage, high voltage switchgears and transformers, and digital grid technology.
Working within the HVDC Control Team, you will contribute to the development, testing, and commissioning of innovative solutions that support the growing demand for secure, efficient, and sustainable power transmission around the world.
