We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Commissioning (Cx) Manager to join our site team. This position will play a key role in the successful delivery of commissioning activities across a major data centre project, located in Blyth, United Kingdom.
Reports to: Commissioning Lead
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and supervise Commissioning Engineers across the project.
- Define commissioning work scopes and manage delivery in line with the agreed commissioning strategy and programme.
- Monitor progress against commissioning milestones and deadlines, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
- Communicate commissioning schedules, milestones, and priorities to internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
- Act as a key interface with client stakeholders for commissioning activities.
- Facilitate and participate in detailed design reviews for both CFCI and OFCI work packages.
- Ensure all design, system, and process queries are documented and formally raised with system designers and client teams for review and approval.
- Manage the overall M&E Commissioning Programme, including milestone tracking, sequencing, and reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with contract documents, specifications, commissioning procedures, and project standards.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate Vendor FATs and FWTs, including attendance where required.
- Manage commissioning activities and scope for both CFCI and OFCI vendors.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all commissioning stakeholders.
- Attend and contribute to daily and weekly commissioning meetings (internal, vendor, and client-facing).
- Prepare, update, and submit commissioning progress and technical reports to the line manager.
- Coordinate closely with the Project QA/QC Department to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Manage the preparation, submission, review, and approval of commissioning documentation, including test scripts, compliance statements, and sign-off records.
- Ensure commissioning documentation is reviewed and approved to achieve the required commissioning level and final handover.

Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Commissioning leadership role within data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Mechanical or Electrical bias acceptable, with strong working knowledge of both disciplines.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships in a multi-contractor site environment.
- Strong understanding of EHS requirements associated with Mechanical and Electrical commissioning activities.
