We’re seeking a Commissioning Manager to support the Building Services Project Manager and Commissioning Lead, focusing on BMS-heavy technical delivery with hands-on support to interface with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams.

Core Duties
- Oversee all aspects of commissioning, enforcing best practices and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to ensure successful commissioning, demonstration, and handover of all project systems.
- Develop and maintain commissioning lookahead schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
Implementation & Strategy
- Implement the project’s commissioning strategy in line with delivery goals.
- Conduct design and construction reviews to identify risks early.
- Review and provide feedback on commissioning method statements.
Programming & Scheduling
- Prepare, review, and manage the commissioning programme, ensuring logical sequencing and alignment with project stages.
- Develop master commissioning procedures for major, technically complex projects.
Testing & Documentation
- Attend and document meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
- Conduct pre-commissioning installation inspections and QA walkdowns.
- Lead testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes, including off-site and on-site activities.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Guide construction teams on commissioning requirements and building readiness.
- Collaborate closely with subcontractors and specialist teams to monitor progress.
- Support subcontractor commissioning teams, ensuring timeliness and efficiency.

Requirements For Success
To excel in this role, we’re looking for:
Essential
- 5+ years of experience in construction building services, with a focus on commissioning of large, technically complex projects.
- Proven expertise in mechanical & BMS commissioning, including testing, fault finding, and mitigation.
- Experience in handling and managing subcontractors through installation and commissioning to handover.
- Strong capability in project handover processes, including client training, commissioning manuals, and O&M documentation.
- Ability to develop and review method statements and technical procedures.
- Programming and planning skills, particularly for major building services projects.
