Position Overview

This opportunity is for a Commissioning Supervisor - Electrical to support electrical precommissioning and commissioning activities within a major oil and gas project environment. The Commissioning Supervisor - Electrical will play a key role in maintaining technical integrity, validating progress, and supporting successful handover documentation. This position is well suited to a technically strong professional with supervisory experience in power generation and electrical distribution systems commissioning. The Commissioning Supervisor - Electrical offers the chance to contribute to a complex industrial project where quality, safety, and delivery performance are critical.

Role Context

This role sits within the oil and gas sector and supports commissioning activity on a major project environment. The Commissioning Supervisor - Electrical reports to the Commissioning Manager and works closely with construction, production field, engineering support teams, contractors, and suppliers. The position focuses on the precommissioning and commissioning phase, with responsibility for progress validation, technical support, and handover readiness. The Commissioning Supervisor - Electrical will operate in a technically demanding environment where coordination across multiple project interfaces is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical precommissioning and commissioning works in line with approved commissioning procedures.
  • Verify that electrical precommissioning and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with project schedule and budget requirements.
  • Review mechanical completion acceptance and punch lists before precommissioning and commissioning activities begin.
  • Monitor and validate the progress of electrical precommissioning and commissioning works.
  • Identify deviations from schedule or budget and support recovery actions where required.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and practical solutions during commissioning activities.
  • Ensure precommissioning and commissioning punch list items are identified, integrated into the master punch list, and cleared appropriately.
  • Prepare handover documentation, including validation and compilation of relevant certificates.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in the oil and gas industry as an electrical commissioning supervisor.
  • Excellent knowledge of power generation and electrical distribution systems commissioning.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of main process schemes for oil and gas treatment.
  • Basic knowledge of QA/QC construction management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and commissioning HSE requirements and standards implementation.
  • Offshore survival course, Medical and MIST.

  • Technical diploma in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of precommissioning and commissioning management software.
  • Flexible and proactive approach, with strong problem-solving, communication, and professional standards.
