Who We’re Looking For

The Commitment Control & Support team sits within Platform Control & Support, providing a unified entry point for impact assessment and platform change oversight. This role is responsible for ensuring robust control and oversight of all mandate and investment management commitments across our platforms, supporting:

  • Effective assessment, management, and governance of commitments (regulatory, legal, operational).
  • Client experience priority, risk reduction, and efficiency, while maximising platform reuse and driving standardisation.
  • Automated tool development to optimise the capture, maintenance, and governance of commitments, mandate changes, parameter updates, and operational controls.
  • Risk reduction and central record accuracy through regular insights and risk reporting to stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Platform Services, and Investment teams to ensure scalable commitment fulfilment.
  • Innovation through technology, including AI and best-in-class data analysis, to enhance platform operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in a team of analysts responsible for mandate commitment capture, control implementation, governance, and query resolution.
  • Ensure data quality and integration for mandate and commitment data accuracy across central records.
  • Interact with internal and external APIs (including Aladdin) within Schroders’ technology ecosystem.
  • Develop Python or other low-code/tools for complex data analysis, workflow design, and automation, collaborating globally.
  • Drive innovation by embedded AI, automation, and emerging technologies in the platform.
  • Foster a data-driven culture through sharing analytical best practices and supporting skills development.
  • Deliver mandate commitment control activities tailored to experience level.
  • Produce clear reporting and visualisations (e.g., Power BI/Tableau) highlighting risks, trends, and efficiency improvements.
  • Engage with Investment desks, Product teams, and Client Executives (all asset classes) on commitments.
  • Resolve audit/regulatory/client queries with high-quality, timely solutions.
  • Conduct impact assessments for commitments, sourcing from IMAs, regulations, or internal teams.
  • Report missed deadlines appropriately while maintaining a robust control environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
