Independent Committee Member – Homes Committee
Livv Housing Group
Location: Prescot, Liverpool City Region
Remuenration: £4,500 per annum
Time Commitment: Approximately one day per month
We’re looking for an Independent Committee Member to join our Homes Committee and help shape how we invest in homes, neighbourhoods, and future communities.
We own and manage around 13,000 homes across Liverpool City Region and the North West, providing safe, warm homes for 28,000 customers. But we are much more than a landlord. We work alongside customers, local communities, and partners to create places where people can flourish, access support, and build better opportunities for themselves and their families. Our purpose is clear: to unlock potential and give people and communities opportunities to flourish.
Our Homes Committee plays a key role in scrutinising investment, development, regeneration, and asset decisions. It helps ensure our homes are safe, well maintained, financially sustainable, and aligned to what our customers and communities need now and in the future.
This is a great opportunity to bring specialist expertise into an organisation with real ambition. We have launched our new Corporate Plan, Building a better future, alongside our Development and Regeneration Strategy and Asset Strategy. Our plans include delivering new affordable homes, continuing to invest in existing homes, and using data and customer insight to guide long-term investment decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
