Commodities & Logistics Coordinator – Fixed Term Role
About the Role
Role Title: Commodities & Logistics Coordinator (Fixed Term, 12 Months) Salary: Competitive per annum + Veolia benefits Hours: 40 per week (Monday to Friday) Location: London, N1 9JY Start Date: Mid-September

Key Responsibilities
- Organise the sale and purchase of secondary commodities (primarily recyclates and products) from Veolia Material Recovery Facilities across the UK.
- Ensure accurate and timely administration of sales activity, including all transactions and communications.
- Coordinate domestic and overseas logistics, including planning export shipments for timely, compliant dispatch.
- Liaise with Veolia sites and external customers to manage:
- Stock control
- Service requests
- Daily operational queries
- Source and manage transport subcontractors to minimise unexpected costs where internal coverage isn’t possible.
- Track customer service metrics and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Handle invoice disputes for both suppliers and customers, escalating as necessary.
- Provide correct documentation and guidance on:
- Duty of care
- Waste compliance
- Export procedures
- Provide support to the wider commodities and logistics function, including backup coverage when required.
- Generate ad hoc management reports and contribute to monthly KPI reporting.

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience (logistics or office-based roles preferred).
- Proven customer-facing experience, ideally in a logistics or administrative environment.
- Strong organisation and time management skills to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator with strong customer service skills, fostering positive relationships.
- Resilient and dynamic, capable of working at pace under pressure while maintaining disciplined professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams while taking individual accountability for specific tasks.
- IT proficient, including:
- Intermediate Google Sheets
- Experience with stock control and reporting systems
- Good compliance awareness with an ability to follow processes and meet regulatory requirements.
