Job title: Commodity Manager
Role Type: Permanent, full-time role
Location: Yeovil
As a Commodity Manager at Honeywell Aerospace, in Yeovil, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity by collaborating with stakeholders and managing supplier relationships.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

In this role you will manage a Aerospace direct supply portfolio of 35 suppliers with a circa annual spend of £30m.
- Define Supplier Segmentation and Growth, Maintain and Exit suppliers for the region and coordinate actions with Global Strategy Integration team to execute this strategy year over year.
- Rationalize supplier portfolio and identify risk areas: subsequently adapt strategy within its commodity and define dual sourcing and transition required. Select Honeywell's future suppliers across the globe to support our future development: outsourcing or offset.
- Implement contracts with all suppliers to drive productivity and meet yearly AOP (Annual Operating plan), and ensure full adherence to all Companies compliance rules and regulations.
- Reach yearly productivity target established through various actions: transition / negotiation / Value Engineering.
- Assure adequate support services are provided by other organizations such as Honeywell production sites located across the Globe, with primary units in Olomouc, Yeovil and Raunheim.

Key skills and qualifications:
- Secure site requirements: Full right to work in the UK without the need of sponsorship, and residing within an easy commute to Yeovil
- Sourcing experience: Solid experience direct or indirect sourcing experience in a corporate environment, within the aerospace, automotive, FMCG, or manufacturing sector
- Commodity knowledge: Hands-on experience with direct commodities such as sheet metal, castings, forgings, machining, assemblies, raw materials, bearings, electronics, and related categories
- Negotiation and contracts: Proven tactical and strategic sourcing experience, including negotiation of terms and conditions, contracts, and pricing agreements. This requires the need for fluent written and spoken English language skills, to business level
