Comms & Engagement Specialist - SC Clearance required

Corsham (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite)
Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Initial 6-Month Contract

Are you an experienced Communications & Engagement professional with a background in Defence Digital and Cloud transformation? We're supporting a high-profile programme and are looking for someone who can shape compelling communications, engage diverse stakeholder groups, and help drive the successful adoption of a major digital capability.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced programme where you'll play a key role in ensuring stakeholders remain informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The Role

Working closely with the Capability Integration Lead, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering communications and engagement activities across a broad range of stakeholders. You'll create clear, engaging messaging that translates complex technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes while supporting the successful adoption of cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance the programme's Communications & Engagement Strategy, ensuring it aligns with programme objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Create and maintain compelling programme narratives, key messages, and communication plans.
  • Identify and analyse stakeholder groups to tailor communications and engagement approaches.
  • Produce high-quality communications content across multiple channels, translating technical information into accessible messaging.
  • Plan and deliver engagement initiatives including town halls, workshops, roadshows, and other stakeholder events.
  • Support the development of training and enablement materials alongside technical teams and third-party suppliers.
  • Establish two-way communication channels to encourage collaboration and stakeholder feedback.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication and engagement activities using defined metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with the PMO, Business Change, Technical Leads, Delivery teams, and external suppliers to ensure a consistent communications approach.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a dedicated Communications & Engagement role, ideally within Defence Digital or a similar government environment.
  • Experience supporting Cloud technologies or Cloud adoption and digital transformation programmes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders, technical teams, and business users.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple communication activities in a dynamic programme environment.
