Our Communications Team are on the look out for a Communications and Engagement Manager to join their team and oversee the Regional Communications professionals in the West of our Region transforming how we engage with customers and communities.

As Communications & Engagement Manager, you’ll lead a team responsible for ensuring customers, communities and stakeholders are at the heart of how we deliver that investment.
This isn’t a traditional communications role.
You’ll work alongside senior leaders across Capital Delivery to shape how major projects are planned and delivered, helping teams identify community risk earlier, improve customer experience, build stakeholder trust and protect Severn Trent’s reputation.
From nationally significant infrastructure projects to local community improvements, you’ll help ensure we deliver great engineering and great customer outcomes together.
You’ll lead a talented team of regional communications professionals, build strong partnerships across the business and play a key role in transforming how we engage with customers and communities throughout AMP8.
Your role will be overseeing all works and communications for Shropshire, Hafren Dyfrdwy and Gloucester. You will be championing our customers and being a coach to employees around you, developing your teams to also best serve our customers.

The location for this role can be flexible across the counties you will be leading, so if you are local to Shropshire: Shelton, or our Head Office in Coventry you will be in the right place for this position. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, with regular travel expected – car allowance will be added to your offer package.

WHAT WE'ER LOOKING FOR
The role is responsible for strengthening customer experience during disruption, managing communications and stakeholder risk, building community intelligence, and ensuring communications and engagement activities actively support successful program delivery.

- Lead and inspire high-performing teams
- Translate complex challenges into practical action
- Balance customer, community and business needs
- Use insight and data to influence decisions
- Anticipate and manage reputation and stakeholder risks
Some (not Necessary But) Desirable Traits Are
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure, construction or regulated industries.
- Experience working with contractor and delivery partner organisations.
- Understanding customer experience frameworks and behavioural insight.
- Experience supporting major capital or infrastructure programmes.
