We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a university student to join RSM’s Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team as part of our 12-month student placement programme as Communications Assistant. This role is available in our London office.
As a dynamic and determined candidate, you’ll help us deliver top notch, digital first marketing content through our internal and external channels. Under the guidance of our in-house experts, you’ll gain hands-on experience and establish a network of contacts that could support you to shape your career.
You’ll Make An Impact By
Coordinating our day-to-day activity and getting invaluable hands-on experience working closely with experienced team members across digital, PR, marketing, brand, and internal communications Supporting a wide variety of stakeholders and accessing internal training courses that will help you develop in the role From delivering regular sector updates and insights to getting involved in campaigns and events, engaging with internal teams and our external agency partners, this role will support us to connect with people on economic issues, in the moment policy announcements and key industry headlines, and share Helping shape our presence in the digital space, amplifying the firm’s story on projects and campaigns, collaborating on ideas and initiatives, and acting as a champion for the RSM brand

Placement Plan Example
You will have an opportunity to build your skills and knowledge across:
Brand – attracting talent, sponsorship, merchandise, brand guidelines and presentation templates Content – thought and blog pieces, campaigns, and guidance to the wider business. Marketing – market research, industry campaigns and partnership events. Podcast and video – writing scripts and generating YouTube engagement. Social media - social media best practice, building online communities and paid activity. Web and digital - website content management, search engine optimisation, email marketing, pay per click advertising. Internal communications – internal campaigns, intranet content and community hubs. PR – external campaigns, engagement, drafting content and press releases.
What We Are Looking For

Studying at university with a predicted honours degree, ideally in business, communications, marketing or similar. But at RSM, we don't just look for good exam results. We think passion, personality and originality are just as important. Excellent spelling, grammar and editing skills with strong attention to detail Highly motivated, inquisitive, adaptable and an excellent communicator, with the confidence to challenge the status quo Team player, who is comfortable under pressure and able to build relationships with a variety of departments and teams Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people at all levels in simple, jargon-free language
