About The Role

As a Communications Assistant at the Springfields fuel manufacturing site, you’ll support both internal and external communications activities in the UK.

Reporting to the Site Communications Manager, your primary location will be at Springfields. Your role will encompass:

  • Supporting internal and external communications
  • Event management
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Government affairs

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Springfields’ employee communication program, reinforcing company values and culture during site transformation. Tasks include:
    • Developing engaging content and creative storytelling for channels like the intranet, newsletter, and digital applications
    • Mobilizing employees for events
    • Producing a variety of communication materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including:
    • Government affairs
    • Manufacturing site leadership
    • Product marketing, sales, operations, and legal
  • Drive awareness of Westinghouse’ products and services to enhance brand visibility and image
  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders supporting Westinghouse’s business interests
  • Support deployment of internal management communication plans

Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor's (or equivalent) in communications, marketing communications, journalism, or public affairs
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
    • Strong planning, organization, and project management
    • Learning agility with operational excellence and resilience in an innovative, rapidly changing environment
