About The Role

As a Communications Assistant you will support day to day activities at the Springfields fuel manufacturing site and in the UK, both externally and internally.

You will report to the Site Communications Manager and be located at Springfields. This will mainly include supporting, internal and external communications, event management, stakeholder engagement, and government affairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of the Springfields employee communication program to reinforce company values and culture and support the site transformation. This includes developing engaging content, social mobilizing events, creative storytelling, and materials through a variety of tools and channels (intranet, newsletter, digital applications, etc).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including government affairs, manufacturing site leadership, product marketing, sales, operations, and legal to help produce outstanding communication materials that enable the right visibility and success for Westinghouse in the UK.
  • Contribute to driving awareness and familiarity of Westinghouse products and services, enhancing the awareness and image of the company.
  • Support the development of relationships with key to Westinghouse business interest.
  • Contribute to deploying Management communication plans internally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, marketing communications, journalism, public affairs.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Planning, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong learning agility, operationally excellent, and resilient in the context of a rapidly changing, highly innovative environment.
