About Us

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse, and forward-thinking East London borough. Everything we do is driven by strengthening our relationship with local people and supporting our shared vision. We continue to develop innovative ways to build our communities and transform council services.

Redbridge is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country and the third most diverse borough in London. Our communities are attracted by excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high quality open spaces, and fast transport links into the heart of Redbridge

About The Service

The Lifeline & Response Service provides a 24-hour, 7-day support service for vulnerable and elderly residents across the Borough of Redbridge.

The service responds to emergency calls from Lifeline alarm users and also manages out-of-hours calls for Adult Social Care. This includes contact from Social Services, District Nurses, Housing, Homeless Services, and other internal and external partner agencies.

The Role

We are looking to recruit motivated and committed individuals to join the Lifeline & Response Service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
