One of our busy London-based teams at Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for a Communications Consultant (Principal Medical Writer) to join them, leading a high‑profile global account focused on metabolic rare diseases.

You’ll work on a recently launched product in the USA and Europe (2025), with opportunities to contribute to a fast‑moving, scientifically rich programme of work.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will deliver a broad range of medical communication outputs, including:

  • Manuscripts
  • Congress abstracts and posters
  • Plain language summaries
  • Slide decks
  • Infographics
  • Congress reports
  • Meeting materials

You will collaborate closely with senior writers and account colleagues to produce high‑quality, impactful content across multiple projects.

Requirements

This role is suited to someone who can deliver medical communication materials to a high standard and who is keen to continue developing their scientific writing and client communication skills within a supportive, collaborative team environment. There will be opportunities to support the informal review of more junior colleagues’ work.

The account is fast-paced and varied, involving regular interaction with global, US and European clients, as well as opportunities to support pipeline products. We are therefore seeking someone who is adaptable, detail‑oriented, and enjoys building strong working relationships with both internal teams and clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
