VMA Group Communications Contractor Opportunity
VMA Group is partnering with a leading global hospitality company to appoint an experienced Communications Contractor to support its EMEA Corporate Affairs team during a busy and strategically important period.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications EMEA, this is a varied, hands-on role for a confident communications professional who can hit the ground running and support consumer, corporate and internal communications activity across the EMEA region. Working closely with colleagues, agencies and senior stakeholders, you will help deliver high-impact communications initiatives that support key business priorities, enhance brand reputation and drive engagement with both internal and external audiences.
This is a 7-month day-rate contract commencing on 1 October 2026 and based in Watford/hybrid (2 days a week min in office).
Day rate: up to £400 (inside IR35)
Position Summary:
- Support the planning and delivery of communications activity across the EMEA region, spanning consumer, corporate and Team Member communications
- Work closely with regional colleagues, agencies and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute integrated communications initiatives aligned to business priorities
- Identify and support media opportunities, including drafting briefing materials, preparing spokespeople and developing media responses
- Coordinate agency activity and campaign delivery, ensuring projects are effectively managed and delivered to agreed timelines
- Support internal communications programmes, including town halls, leadership communications and executive market visits
- Draft, edit and review a range of communications materials including press releases, key messages, briefing documents, internal updates and stakeholder communications
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure communications activity is aligned, effective and impactful
- Contribute creative ideas and communications strategies that help strengthen brand reputation and support commercial objectives
- Provide hands-on communications support across a broad range of projects during a period of increased activity for the EMEA team

Required skills and experience:
- Significant experience in consumer or corporate communications, either in agency or in-house
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex subject matters, ensure alignment to core communications objectives and build strong relationships
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and experience of targeting media campaigns internationally
- Ability to think strategically, operate effectively in a matrix organisation and communicate updates effectively with stakeholders essential
- Strong instinct and creative approach to translating business messages and objectives into high impact campaigns and activity that result in high-quality coverage, reaching consumers to drive brand reputation
- A collaborative, flexible, can-do approach
