Communications Coordinator
Position: Computacenter – Corporate Communications Coordinator Location: UK – Hatfield Contract Type: Standard Business Unit: Business Operations & Administration Job-ID: 219007
About the Role
As part of our Corporate Communications team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the communications behind Computacenter’s most significant transformation programmes.
This is a dynamic, collaborative role where no two days are the same. You’ll:
- Work across business functions, geographies, and stakeholder groups.
- Ensure clear messaging aligns communication efforts.
- Maintain brand standards while keeping delivery on track.
- Foster engaging internal communications during periods of change.
Responsibilities

Coordination of Communications Activity
- Oversee plans, milestones, and deliverables across multiple transformation programmes.
- Ensure timely execution of communication workflows.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Organise meetings (workshops, stakeholder sessions) – scheduling, agendas, action tracking, and follow-ups.
- Maintain communications plans, content calendars, and programme trackers with clear visibility on progress, risks, and priorities.

Collaboration with Programmes & Teams
- Identify dependencies and align messaging to maintain a consistent communications approach.
- Work with Creative Services, briefing them on asset creation (presentations, videos, infographics, etc.).
- Draft and adapt content for different audiences and channels while staying aligned with brand tone of voice.

Quality Assurance
- Review communications against brand guidelines before publication.
- Monitor activity, highlighting risks, gaps, or improvement opportunities.

Central Coordination
- Maintain a library of approved communications assets, templates, and programme resources.
Requirements
- Experience in communications, marketing, or programme support, ideally within a large/matrix organisation.
- Proven ability to:
- Coordinate multiple projects/stakeholders simultaneously.
- Tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Apply internal communications principles (audience engagement, channel selection, consistency).
- Organise meticulously with strong attention to detail.
- Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders across functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint). Bonus points for experience with project/content management tools.
- Exposure to business transformation/change programmes or corporate communications is ideal but optional.
