Communications Coordinator (Projects)

Job Type: Fixed term, 12 months Salary: £27,600 per annum Hours: 35 hours / 5 days per week Location: The Design Museum, Kensington (hybrid)

  • 60% on site
  • 40% remote Closing Date: 12/07/2026 at 23:59

Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join the Communications team to support the delivery of major campaigns and strategic projects during a significant period of activity aligned with the museum’s 2029 Transformation plan.

This role will provide coordination and operational support across PR, marketing and digital activity. Working closely with colleagues across the Communications team and the wider museum, the postholder will support the delivery of projects, ensuring they are well organised, clearly documented, and effectively communicated across teams and stakeholders.

Working closely with PR, marketing, and digital leads, the postholder will act as a central coordination point for projects, ensuring relevant information is shared, and progress against deadlines is monitored and communicated.

Key Responsibilities

The Communications Coordinator (Projects) will focus on:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of communications campaigns for a range of projects
  • Maintaining:
    • Project timelines
    • Action trackers
    • Key documentation
  • Acting as a central coordination point, facilitating the sharing of information across PR, marketing, and digital leads
  • Supporting the administration of:
    • Departmental budget
    • Invoices and accurate budget trackers
  • Assisting with preparing:
    • Reports on campaign performance
    • Audience metrics
    • Spend
  • Supporting the development of:
    • Presentations
    • Internal updates
