We're partnering with a leading strategic communications consultancy to appoint a Communications Director to lead and grow its Emerging Technology practice in Doha, Qatar.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior communications professional with a passion for innovation and technology. You'll work with cutting-edge businesses across AI, fintech, blockchain, quantum computing, digital payments, and other emerging sectors—helping them tell compelling stories, build influence, and engage key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead strategic communications programmes for clients in the emerging technology space.
  • Develop messaging and narratives that simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Drive media relations and secure high-impact earned coverage across regional and international markets.
  • Advise senior executives and technical experts on positioning, thought leadership, and reputation management.
  • Support funding, investment, and innovation-related communications.
  • Lead new business opportunities, proposals, and client pitches.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team.

  • 8+ years of senior communications experience, ideally within emerging technology, innovation, fintech, venture-backed businesses, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of AI, generative AI, LLMs, blockchain, or other emerging technologies.
  • Outstanding writing, storytelling, and media relations skills.
  • Experience advising C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
  • A commercial mindset with experience contributing to business growth.
  • Leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to relocate to Doha, Qatar (relocation support and visa sponsorship available).
