Communications & Events Associate

Flatiron Health is hiring for a Communications & Events Associate to support our mission: improving lives by learning from every cancer patient’s experience.

About the Role

At Flatiron Health, a data-driven healthtech company, you’ll help translate Real-World Evidence (RWE) in oncology into global storytelling initiatives. Located in our Germany and UK offices, this role will bridge our US-based Communications & Marketing team with local Partnerships leaders to amplify Flatiron’s impact worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic communications & campaign execution – Develop roadmaps for global campaigns, digital/social media tactics, and content across LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs, and websites.
  • Content creation & storytelling – Draft editorial calendars, company messaging, and corporate communications supporting conferences, milestones, and events.
  • Conference & event coordination – Manage logistics, speaker appearances, registrations, and booth material for industry events.
  • Patient advocacy support – Work with Flatiron Voices to create content highlighting patient-centred narratives.
  • Competitive tracking & reporting – Monitor healthcare/oncology industry trends and update media trackers for quarterly reporting.
  • Collaborative cross-functional work – Align writing, design, and campaigns with global brand, marketing, and communications teams.
  • Tool familiarity – Expected experience with Figma, HubSpot, and other marketing tools.

Who You Are

  • Collaborative problem-solver – Thrives at the intersection of creative thinking and tactical execution, with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong writer – Proficient in drafting announcements, social media, blogs, and press materials.
  • Multilingual – Fluent native-level English and German (C2); tools for multilingual content creation an advantage.
  • Gain & use relevant experience – 1+ year in healthcare marketing, external communications, or equivalent; interning qualifies.
  • Technical skillset – Well-versed in social/digital media strategy, stakeholder management, competitive tracking, and media navigation across Europe and UK.
  • Travel & flexibility – Regular travel between Germany and UK for meetings and conferences.
  • Tech-savvy communications – Experience with AI tools (LLMs) for workflow efficiency and knowledge of coordination tools like Asana, Trello, or bulletin boards.
  • Degree or equivalent – Bachelor’s in a marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
