The Role: Bringing Stories to Life

As our Comms Executive, you’ll be hands-on, creative, and driven by stories. Every day has the potential to deliver exciting work, such as:

  • Crafting a LinkedIn post for a business leader
  • Drafting a press release
  • Researching journalist lists
  • Brainstorming campaign ideas
  • Translating complex topics into engaging, human-friendly content

You’ll collaborate closely with our Comms Manager and wider team to ensure client messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned with their voice.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t wait for instructions—an excited ideas person who gets stuck in, sorts out details, and drives results.


Key Responsibilities

Your focus? Cutting through noise.

Here’s what the role means day-to-day:

  • Writing for press releases, media pitches, blogs, articles, award entries, case studies, LinkedIn posts, and internal news.
  • Researching journalists, publication contacts, trends, "news hooks" and opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining relevant media lists.
  • Creating content calendars, campaign ideas, messaging frameworks, and client plans.
  • Turning client insights and technical details into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Helping business leaders and industry experts develop viable personal branding.
  • Managing internal communication projects to keep teams informed and engaged.
  • Monitoring campaign results and media coverage.
  • Assisting with meeting prep, reporting, and ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Working with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to deliver on-brand work.

  • Comfortable communicator: Builds trust with the team and (eventually) clients.

The Basics

Reporting to Our Comms Manager and wider AM Comms team.

Location Primary office in Loughborough, but enjoy hybrid flexibility—work 3 days in the office (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remotely (Tuesday & Friday).

Salary £24,000–£27,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Hours 35 hours per week.
