At H&T, we're looking for a Communications Executive to join our growing Corporate Communications team at an exciting time for the business. Supporting over 1,700 colleagues across multiple locations, you'll play a key role in creating engaging communications that connect our people to our strategy, celebrate success and strengthen our culture.
Working closely with our Communications Manager and stakeholders across the business, you'll help deliver impactful campaigns, leadership communications, colleague engagement initiatives and organisational change communications. What You'll Be Doing
Creating Engaging Communications
- Drafting and publishing content across a variety of channels, including intranet articles, newsletters, emails, videos and digital signage.
- Supporting the delivery of communication campaigns linked to business initiatives, colleague engagement and organisational change.
- Creating compelling content that keeps colleagues informed, engaged and connected to H&T's future.
- Maintaining a consistent tone of voice and brand identity across all communications.
Managing Communication Channels
- Day-to-day management and maintenance of the company intranet.
- Ensuring content remains accurate, relevant and engaging.
- Updating communication calendars and supporting the planning of communication activities.
- Working with contributors across the business to source and develop content.

Supporting Colleague Engagement
- Helping deliver internal events, recognition programmes, town halls and charity initiatives.
- Creating communications that celebrate achievements and promote company culture.
- Supporting wellbeing, ESG, ED&I and business transformation communications.
- Coordinating volunteering, fundraising and community campaigns with our charity partner, FareShare.
- Supporting H&T's "Going for Gold" colleague ideation initiative, promoting innovation and managing administration through Monday.com.
- Coordinating the annual employee awards nomination programme and supporting event communications.
Building Relationships Across the Business
- Partnering with teams and stakeholders to gather information and develop communications.
- Supporting leadership communications and company updates.
- Preparing presentations, briefing materials and meeting documentation.
- Providing coordination and administrative support within the Communications function.
Measuring Impact
- Monitoring communication performance and engagement metrics.
- Gathering colleague feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting reporting and insight generation to enhance communication effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong ability to write engaging content for different audiences and communication channels.
- Ability to simplify complex information in a clear, accurate and inclusive way.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident building relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- A genuine interest in employee engagement, culture and communications.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable
- Experience within retail, financial services or a multi-site business environment.
- Experience managing corporate intranet content or using WordPress.
- Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage and Viva Connections.
- Familiarity with communication analytics, engagement reporting or digital metrics.
