Job Description
U.S. Bank Europe is hiring a Communications Manager to play a key role in shaping how we show up across Europe. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a growing, ambitious organisation—partnering with senior leaders, influencing business priorities, and elevating our reputation in key markets.
You’ll work on the delivery of integrated communications programmes that cut through—bringing clarity to complex topics, driving visibility, and helping position U.S. Bank as a trusted financial partner and as an employer of choice.
This hands-on, collaborative role is suited to a communications professional who has worked at a PR agency and/or within an In-House Communications team, with experience in both external and internal communications.

This individual will work with our business divisions and enabling functions in Europe and the Public Affairs and Communications team to broaden our brand awareness in Europe. They will have the confidence to provide communications counsel to senior stakeholders across U.S. Bank and to represent the company externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of integrated external and internal communications strategies aligned to business goals and European priorities
- Identify and deliver compelling storytelling opportunities that enhance U.S. Bank’s profile across priority markets and sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists and external partners
- Draft high-quality content including press releases, media materials, thought leadership and executive communications
- Prepare and brief senior leaders for media interviews, speaking engagements and internal events
- Monitor the external environment to identify reputational risks and opportunities, providing informed recommendations
- Collaborate across teams in Europe to ensure consistent, clear and compliant messaging
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience in a PR agency and in-house communications role, ideally within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of media relations and corporate communications in a European context
- Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messaging for external and internal audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting executive visibility and profile-building initiatives
- Familiarity with social and digital channels as part of integrated communications campaigns
- Strong judgement, professionalism and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Approximately six or more years of communications experience
