COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Communications Specialist opportunity supporting a major business transformation programme £34.98 per hour via Umbrella Initial 6-month contract with extension potential Belfast based | Fully onsite | 36-hour working week BPSS Clearance required
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing organisation undergoing a significant period of transformation and growth. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping communications strategy and delivery during a major integration programme, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Due to ongoing transformation activities, they are looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to join the team.
THE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST ROLE:
As a Communications Specialist, you will provide critical support during a major post-merger integration programme, helping to establish and deliver internal and external communications activities. You will work closely with leadership teams to develop key messaging, launch communication channels and ensure consistent communication across the organisation.

You will:
- Develop and execute communications plans supporting business transformation initiatives
- Create engaging internal and external communications content
- Support post-merger integration and change communications activities
- Establish and manage communication channels and engagement initiatives
- Partner with senior stakeholders to develop key messaging
- Coordinate communications activities with wider UK and global teams
- Support event planning and employee engagement activities
- Ensure communications are aligned with corporate strategy and brand guidelines
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Communications roles
- Strong internal and external communications experience
- Proven experience supporting transformation, change or post-merger integration programmes
- Excellent written communication and content creation skills
- Experience developing and delivering communications plans
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate independently and quickly embed into a new environment
- Experience engaging manufacturing, operational or industrial workforces

DESIRABLE SKILLS
- M&A or Post-Merger Integration (PMI) communications experience
- Experience launching new communication channels and engagement initiatives
- Event management experience
- Knowledge of the Northern Ireland business environment
- Corporate communications experience within large organisations
