About the Role
As a Communities Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing community welfare by:
- Supporting the delivery of the Crisis and Resilience Fund.
- Mapping services and identifying opportunities for collaboration to strengthen community support networks.
- Connecting individuals to appropriate services, ensuring seamless joined-up welfare provision.
- Reporting on evaluations, including data, outcomes, and feedback to refine services.
- Collaborating with partners—NCC, NHS, and local districts—to reduce reliance on crisis support over time.

The role is based at County Hall (Monday & Wednesday), with hybrid working to support collaborative needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating Fund Delivery: Ensuring the Crisis and Resilience Fund is administered effectively.
- Cross-Services Mapping: Identifying gaps, coordinating with partners, and enhancing service accessibility.
- Case Management: Helping individuals navigate support networks for financial resilience.
- Reporting & Analytics: Compiling evaluations, data, and feedback to drive service improvements.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with NCC, NHS, and local authorities to reduce emergency interventions.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Experience managing multiple demands within a broad work programme.
- Proficiency in data management, report writing, and using IT systems.
- Strong ability to organise priorities and handle competing workloads.
