Communities Programme Operations Coordinator

Location: Office Compensation: £27,000 - £32,000 / year


About the Role

Bloomsbury Football Foundation is driven by a mission to transform the lives of young people through football. We ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play, regardless of financial means, and deliver programmes that develop young people both on and off the pitch.

Our Communities programme adopts a place-based approach to delivering high-quality, inclusive football sessions. These sessions take place across:

  • Schools
  • Community training sessions
  • Holiday camps

Occurring in localized Bloomsbury Football Foundation communities in London, the programme currently reaches 6,500 young people each week.

The Programme Coordinator is a central role within the day-to-day operations of the programme. Reporting to the Senior Programme Coordinator, your primary focus will be on:

  • Coordination of scheduling, resources, records, and communications
  • Ensuring that all sessions run smoothly and consistently meet quality standards

You will maintain accurate records and track programme data, identifying early issues and suggesting improvements. As you progress, you are expected to take increasing ownership of defined areas while honing stakeholder management and organisation skills essential to the programme’s growth.

Candidates must demonstrate a passion for young people’s development and dismantling access barriers to sport. You will require:

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery & Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery of the Communities programme across schools, community training, and holiday camps, ensuring consistently high-quality sessions.
  • Manage schedules and resources (facilities, coaches, and community partners) to ensure compliance with Bloomsbury Football Foundation (BFF) quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate performance data and programme documentation, supporting:
    • Safeguarding compliance
    • Data-driven continuous improvement
  • Collaborate across teams to boost the programme’s impact and align with BFF’s overarching goals and mission.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound communications from:
    • Parents
    • Schools
    • Community partners
    • Responsibilities include:
      • Handling enquiries
      • Resolving issues
      • Ensuring a seamless experience for all programme participants.
  • Oversee outbound programme communications, ensuring messages are:
    • Intentional
    • Relevant
    • Aligning with BFF’s values
  • Develop strong partnerships with:
    • Schools
    • Local authorities
    • Community organisations
    • Delivery partners
    • Aiming to expand the programme’s reach and deepen its impact.
  • Represent Bloomsbury Football Foundation at pertinent events and forums to advocate for community football’s role in driving social change.

Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and refine operational systems and processes that enhance programme scalability without compromising quality.
  • Utilise data and participant feedback to continuously improve the experience for players, schools, and partners, ensuring decision-making is informed by evidence.
  • Support activities related to:
    • Data collection
    • Analysis
    • Presentation of performance metrics (participation, quality, financials) for delivery and reporting.
