Community and Outreach Team Manager - Change Grow Live (Barnet)
About the Role
Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of those experiencing homelessness. Our core values—‘Be open, be compassionate, and be bold’—guide our passionate teams who deliver essential support in a respectful, individualised environment.
We are seeking an experienced manager—or someone eager to grow into one—to lead our Community and Outreach Team in Barnet and surrounding areas. This role offers a meaningful challenge to drive positive change for some of the borough’s most vulnerable individuals.
Location: Barnet and nearby areas Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs/week), including weekend and evening work
Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Management
- Provide operational line management for the Community and Outreach Team
- Foster partnership with local services to reduce homelessness via targeted support
- Collaborate with Royal Free/Barnet Hospital to establish clear referral pathways between hospital care and community outreach
Strategic & Engagement Roles
- Represent CGL Barnet in local meetings and initiatives, with an emphasis on harm reduction for rough sleepers
- Work creatively with London Borough of Barnet Public Health Commissioning to align services with the Rough Sleepers Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant
- Ensure the service is needs-driven to deliver sustainable outcomes

Administration & Growth
- Oversee budget management and data reporting requirements
- Promote the service through outreach, publicity, and referral networks to maximise accessibility
Requirements
About You
- A deepened understanding of rough sleeper challenges and the needs of vulnerable individuals
- Strong ability to build collaborative alliances with agencies (e.g. social services, health providers)
- Committing to flexible hours, including evenings/early mornings, faithfully aligned with our outreach needs

Compensation & Stability
- Transparent pay within the range (£35,220.59 – £37,184.90) with pro rata part-time adjustments
- Contributory pension scheme and organisational commitment to fair pay reviews
- Annual leave starting at 25 days (plus bank holidays), increasing incrementally to 30 days after five years
