The role is to cover the whole of Derby / Derbyshire

This is a remote role however requires someone currently living in Derby / Derbyshire.

It is an essential requirement of this role that you are a driver with access to your own car

This role is not eligible for sponsorship as is does not meet the requirements as set out by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.

As a Talking Therapies partnership, we are looking for a Community & Partnership Officer who can bring their knowledge, skills, and passion for working with communities to this dynamic service.

The Community & Partnership Officer will support the contracted engagement work needed for the NHS talking therapies service within Derbyshire. As part of the contract, it is important that we have effective pathways, a strong community presence and build effective partnerships within the area. The role will enable the service to expand its reach and use community voices to influence change within the service and the wider mental health system.

About The Role

  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships with community groups, GP practices, voluntary organisations and wider health and social care partners, so that we’re working together to support people in the right way
  • Work alongside local service teams to design and develop new pathways into Talking Therapies, using insight from communities and partners to shape what we offer
  • Support the delivery of projects that test and introduce new ways of working, helping us improve access and outcomes for the people we support
  • Bring together feedback and insight from community engagement, partners, and colleagues, using this to inform service development and ensure our approach stays relevant and inclusive
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of new and existing pathways, using both data and lived experience to continuously improve how we deliver support
  • Represent our services in the community, whether that’s at events, forums or partnership meetings, helping raise awareness and build trust in what we offer
  • Work closely with marketing and communications teams to develop and deliver clear, accessible messaging that connects with local communities and encourages people to seek support
  • Strengthen relationships across primary care, secondary care and wider health systems to make referral routes into services as simple and effective as possible
  • Identify opportunities to reduce barriers to access, particularly for underrepresented groups, and help create practical, community-based solutions
  • Champion innovation and collaboration, always looking for new and better ways to reach people earlier and support them more effectively

About You

We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:

  • Experience of working with communities or partner organisations, building trusted relationships that lead to meaningful outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of people and bring them together around a shared goal
  • Confidence influencing and working collaboratively with partners, including health, voluntary and community organisations
  • Experience of supporting or delivering projects, including planning activity, engaging stakeholders, and evaluating impact
  • The ability to use insight, whether that’s feedback, data or lived experience, to shape decisions and improve services
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond flexibly to changing needs
