Community and Partnerships Officer
Talking Therapies Community & Partnership Officer – Nottingham/Nottinghamshire
This is a remote role but requires current residence in Nottingham/Nottinghamshire. A hurried drive with vehicle access is essential.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship based on UK Visa and Immigration requirements.
About the Role
As part of the Talking Therapies partnership, you’ll support the NHS’s NHS talking therapies service across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Your focus? Building connective pathways, strong community engagement and effective partnerships at local and influential levels—expanding outreach, shaping service direction, and embracing the wisdom of community voices for transformative change in both mental health services and wider systemic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Build long-term trust with key stakeholders including:
- Community groups
- Local GP practices
- Voluntary organisations
- Health and social care chains
- Collaborate with local teams to design and pilot new pathways into Talking Therapies, embedding local insight into service development.
- Lead innovative projects that test and evolve engagement strategies, improving access and outcomes.
- Gather and synthesise lessons from engagement efforts and partners, ensuring services remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive.
- Represent the service at local events, forums, or partnerships, advocating for greater understanding of our offerings and fostering mutual confidence.
- Work with marketing and comms teams to develop clear, accessible messaging tailored to local communities, boosting referral rates and participation.
- Strengthen relationships across primary and secondary care, refocusing referral mechanisms for maximum efficiency.
- Spot and address barriers to engagement, with a special focus on underrepresented groups, proposing practical, community-aligned solutions.
- Champion ** Möglichologie** and collaboration, always seeking fresh ideas to reach underserved populations earlier and provide better support.

About You
We invite applications from individuals with the following qualities:
- Experience in community work or partner engagement, adept at nurturing relationships that yield lasting impact.
- Strong communicator with honed interpersonal skills, capable of connecting diverse voices around shared goals.
- Confident collaborator—fluent in influencing and working alongside health professionals, voluntary sectors, and community leaders.
- Project leader with a track record in managing initiatives, engaging stakeholders, and demonstrating measurable impact.
- Intuitive decision-maker, using lived experience and data to drive service improvements.
- Organisational prowess—balancing multiple priorities while adapting to shifting needs quickly and with agility.
