Are you looking for a Band 5 Dietitian post which will give you a wide range of nutrition support and enteral feeding experiences?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Dietitian to join our forward thinking, supportive and motivated team of community Dietitians. This post will give you the opportunity to develop your skills working within across Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB and specifically, Merthyr Tydfil, Cynon and Taf Ely.

The role, supports our work across a range of clinical areas and includes domiciliary visits, community hospital ward cover, outpatient clinics (virtual and face to face), group education sessions and training of other professionals. It is a great opportunity for a Dietitian looking for maximum variety in their first or second dietetic role.

We are a dynamic team working holistically with multi-agency partners, including medical, social, nursing, AHPs, catering staff and third sector organisations.

The department enjoys a high profile both within the wider Therapies team and across the Health Board. The department fully supports continuing professional development and actively enables this with protected sessions in job plans; we actively support staff to participate and share learning opportunities and experiences.

Purpose of the Role

To support the provision of health care, to the people of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board catchment area.

Key Responsibilities

  • To be clinically responsible for a varied caseload made up of adult community patients across their own homes, care homes, day centres, community hospitals services and adult outpatient clinics.
  • You will have a mixed caseload predominantly supporting patients requiring nutritional support (enteral feeding and oral nutritional support).
  • To ensure CPD opportunities are scheduled for project development including sustainability, digital, frailty and dementia services but welcome innovative ideas to support your development.
  • To work autonomously and work within professional policies, standards and conduct as laid down by the British Dietetic Association, the Health Care Professions Council and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Dietetic Department.
