Community Engagement Coordinator - Plasma (Fixed Term, 12-Month Contract)

Key Information
A 12-month fixed-term contract role located near Reading Donar Centre.
Candidates should ideally live within 12 miles of the centre to facilitate potential short-notice travel.
Role Summary
This crucial role plays a vital part in growing the plasma and blood donor base for one of our Plasma Donor Centres. By championing community engagement, you will help NHS Blood and Transplant achieve its mission of saving and transforming lives.
Core Responsibilities
As a Community Engagement Coordinator - Plasma, you will:
- Drive donor acquisition initiatives, including:
- Organising and executing community events
- Engaging directly with donor sessions in Plasma Donation Centres
- Selecting business-development opportunities aligned with strategic objectives
- Proactively engage new businesses to expand partnerships
- Build, nurture, and maximise relationships with third-sector organisations and corporate partners
- Maintain an accurate Relationship Management database
- Promote organ and other forms of donation in line with NHSBT’s objectives
Additionally, you’ll collaborate with the events team to **plan and execute》, ensuring smooth delivery of engagement activities.

- Plan and deliver community events, pharmacist liaison events, and on-site donor engagement
- Initiate and develop business partnerships in alignment with strategic objectives
- Foster strategic relationships with third-sector organisations and corporate donors
- Manage partner relationships to ensure maximum benefit for NHSBT
- Keep the Relationship Management database up to date
- Actively promote organ and plasma/blood donation in local communities

Requirements
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven success in a marketing-related role (trackable results that demonstrate positive impact)
- Familiarity with key communications channels (social media, print, digital, email) and how best to utilise each
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
