ROLE PROFILE
TITLE: Community Facilitator (Child Protection) (FOR MYANMAR NATIONAL ONLY)
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Child Protection
LOCATION: Central Myanmar
Number of Positions: 3
GRADE: NAT-6
CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed Term
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Community Facilitator will be responsible for coordination and negotiate with community leader and carrying out activities that support the protection of children from violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect through case management. The role of the CP community facilitator to provide case management services in an appropriate, timely, and systematic manner in accordance with the SOPs and to provide community awareness raising activities.

Budget Responsibilities: No Financial Approval

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Program Implementation and quality:
- Conduct deep context analysis of child protection risks and existing child protection practices and resources on an ongoing basis.
- Support children and their families through the case management process (six steps: identification and registration, assessment, case planning, implementation of the case plan, follow-up and review, case closure).
- Ensure quality case management services for girls, boys and those identifying as non-binary, children with complex needs, who have experienced or are at risk of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation and/or meet the eligibility criteria defined in the SOPs.
- Provide psychosocial support to children and families as part of the case management process.
- Assisting the Project Coordinator (CP) in moving forward on key project activities.
- Assist in implementing (CVA/Cash for Protection(C4P) activities under the guidance of Project Coordinator.
- Support identification and basic assessments of children/families who may need CVA/C4P.
- Help prepare documentation for registration, verification, and follow up of cash Assistance.
- Assist in monitoring, including C4P PDM, data collection, and accountability activities with MEAL.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure safe handling of cash related information.
- Facilitated and lead for community awareness sessions and disseminate key messages on child protection, GBV, PSEA, mental health and psychosocial support, and EORE (small group session at Home).
Engagement with community’s leader and local service providers:
- Build trust and coordinate with key community members, local authorities, and local service provider with respect.
- Strengthen coordination with other CSO and NGO service providers to ensure timely and safe referrals to appropriate support and services.
- Maintain an up-to-date service mapping for the areas in which she or he works.
- Support coordination with communities, volunteers, and local partners regarding CVA/C4P activities.

Ensuring quality case management and monitoring:
- Work in a way that respects guiding principles defined in the SOPs.
- Fill in and use case management forms appropriately; registration, assessment, case plan, implementation, case notes for home visits and case review, and case closure.
Developing self and others (peers):
- Participate in regular case management meetings with case supervisors.
- Prepare for and participate in regular structured individual supervision sessions with their supervisors, identifying challenges and areas for professional development.
- Actively engage in all capacity building opportunities, including formal trainings, shadowing/observation, Project Assistants capacity assessments and skills identified in competency framework.
Child Safeguarding:
- Responsibility to create and promote an environment where the Child Safeguarding Policy is effectively implemented.
- Understand and fulfil their specific and additional responsibilities in achieving compliance of Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding Policy standards.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Deep understanding of local context and an ability to work on the sensitive issues related to armed conflict in the region in a conflict sensitive and do no harm.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Developed sense of empathy and ability to communicate effectively with empathetic understanding with children, young people and their families.
- Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with internal and external stakeholders for effective coordination and advocacy. This includes effective negotiation and representation skills.
- Active listening skills, Critical thinking skills, Problem solving skills.
- Basic Computer knowledge - Microsoft Word.
- Ability to communicate a clear vision, motivation and commitment to the safety and well-being of case workers.

Child Safeguarding and Counter Fraud responsibilities
