About the Role
IMS Recruitment is recruiting nurses and midwives for a hospital in Gibraltar.
Gibraltar with its high standard of living, Mediterranean climate and modern English-speaking hospitals is a highly attractive place to live and work.
The client is seeking an NMC registered DISTRICT/COMMUNITY NURSE for commencement at the earliest possible opportunity for a 1-year contract.
Key Responsibilities
Previous experience of community nursing is required and any candidate should be familiar with / competent in:
- Management of subcutaneous lines and syringe driver for End-of-life care.
- Insertion of urinary catheters.
- Removal of sutures.
- Venepuncture and cannulation.
- Wound care management skills.
- Competent caring for a patient with a tracheostomy: dressing and tube tape and tie change.
- Management of patients with a tracheostomy: changing an inner cannula.
- Management of patients with a tracheostomy: suctioning a patient.
- Management of patients with a tracheostomy: changing a tube.
- Competent to set up a syringe drive for continuous subcutaneous infusion in end of life care.
- Competent to assess and manage pain in palliative care patients.

- Applicants must be registered with the UK’s NMC.
- BSc in Adult Nursing.
- 3 years’ minimum experience.
- Available to start asap (need to be in Gibraltar by 23/08/2026 for 1 year’s employment.
On Offer
- Salary £30,378 to £40,140 per annum based on experience from (NHS scales).
- Free accommodation sourced by the client.
