Community Housing Assistant

Community Housing Assistant Earn £13.45 ph, Salary £26,300 per annum and great benefits including Health Cash Plan Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) Gateshead Home, a place where you belong This is a great job opportunity to join Home Group’s awesome housing team, providing face to face customer support to our communities. What you’ll do Be visible and proactive on our estates to build strong links with our communities Support housing managers with their patches to improve neighbourhoods Handle tasks like managing voids, liaising with local authorities, carrying out estate inspections and meeting contractors on site Complete and record routine safety checks in buildings and communities Keep admin up to date, including records, ordering and arranging payments for works Why join us This is more than a job, it’s a place where you feel valued. Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners Knowledge of housing management and housing law, universal credit is a bonus, not a must The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records An appreciation that this is a role where you’ll spend much of your time lone working in our local estates. The practical bits You’ll work as our Community Housing Assistant in a hybrid role, spending at least two days in the office, one day working from home, and two days out on patch in Gateshead. Flexible working hours. There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview We mainly work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
